Material matching the demand must be supplied.
- Material matching the demand may be purchased ( Purchase Order )
- Material matching the demand may be built ( Work Order )
- Material matching the demand may be transferred from another inventory ( Inventory Order )
If ( a ):
- There is already a Purchase Order which includes an order for parts ( Purchase Order Line Item ) that match the material needed and those parts have not been claimed
- There is already a Purchase Order which includes an order for parts ( Purchase Order Line Item ) that match the material needed but those parts have been claimed for a different use
- There is not already a Purchase Order which includes an order for parts ( Purchase Order Line Item ) that match the material needed
If ( i ):
Issue a Claim on the order for parts ( Purchase Order Line Item ) that match the material needed on behalf of the specified demand ( Sales Order Line Item ).
When this Claim is issued, the specified demands are no longer Short the quantities expressed on the Claim. Those quantities will show as Quantity Claiming on the specified demands.
When the specified Purchase Order Line Items are fulfilled the parts are received in to inventory.
Material matching the demand is in your inventory and may be used to fulfill the demand.

If ( b ):
- There is already a Work Order for parts that match the material needed and those parts have not been claimed
- There is already a Work Order for parts that match the material needed but those parts have been claimed for a different use
- There is not already a Work Order for parts that match the material needed
If ( i ):
Issue a Claim on Work Order for parts that match the material needed on behalf of the specified demand ( Sales Order Line Item ).
When this Claim is issued, the specified demands are no longer Short the quantities expressed on the Claim. Those quantities will show as Quantity Claiming on the specified demands.
When the specified Work Order is completed in to inventory.
Material matching the demand is in your inventory and may be used to fulfill the demand.
