Material matching the demand is in your inventory and may be used to fulfill the demand.

 

Create the appropriate Record and associate it to the demand that is to be fulfilled. ( Order )

 

On the Record, list the material that is intended to be used ( Record Line Items ) to fulfill the specified demands ( Order Line Items ). Select  specific inventory from a specific Location. This will reserve the specified inventory.

 

When the Record is drafted, the specified demands are no longer Short the quantities expressed on the Record. Those quantities will show as Quantity Reserved on the specified demands.

 

The Draft Record is a plan of action to be taken. It is a pick list, explaining ‘what’, should be picked ‘from where’ and ‘for what’ purpose.

Use the Draft Record as a pick list to collect the material from stock.

 

Add a Time Completed to the Record.

Adding a Time Completed to the Record triggers the material listed on the Record the to be removed from inventory.

 

Adding a Time Completed to the Record will mark the date on which the specified demands ( Order Line Items ) have been fulfilled. The quantities expressed on the Record will show as Quantity Fulfilled on the specified demands.

 

The Completed Record is a historical record of action taken.
